As the gateway to Colorado's majestic Rocky Mountains, Jefferson County Colorado has an incredibly rich and diverse heritage, from dinosaur tracks all the way to space age Titan missiles. History Jeffco, comprised of dedicated and energetic volunteers, works to support discovery, enlightenment, and preservation of our shared past in collaboration with the Jefferson County Historical Commission and other history-focused organizations.
History Jeffco began in 2011 as the fundraising "Friends" group for the Jefferson County Historical Commission. It has since been transformed into a broader organization aiming to collaborate with a variety of history-focused societies, associations, commissions, educators and museums across Jefferson County Colorado.
Other than a shared goal of supporting preservation of Colorado history, History Jeffco is not affiliated with History Colorado.
